Dental Veneers Procedures In GYA Dental Center

The steps to install the veneer for the teeth are very easy, straightforward, and painless, where you can get a bright, beautiful, and shiny smile when exiting the dentist’s room. The steps are as follows:

Veneer installation steps:

Dentist Consultation

The procedure began with a visit to the dentist and consulted whether it is appropriate for your condition or not, and if your dental health allows it. On this visit, the dentist will examine your teeth, and x-rays will be needed to ensure that the tooth roots are in good condition. In this session, you should tell your dentist about the shade color and the number of teeth you desire to have.

Veneer Test

After receiving your Dental Veneers from the laboratory, which may take up to two weeks, the doctor will install the veneer with a temporary adhesive, to test how it is appropriate in terms of color and size with your mouth and face.

Removing a thin layer of tooth enamel

In this step, the dentist will work to remove a thin layer not exceeding half a millimeter, which is approximately equal to the thickness of the Dental Veneers layer used to cover the teeth.

Fixing the veneer

When you are satisfied that the Veneers are suitable for your teeth, the dentist will clean the teeth from the effects of the temporary adhesive, then the He/she permanently installs the Dental Veneers on the teeth with adhesive, especially for use on the teeth. Then the dentist highlights a robust light beam on the teeth to help the adhesive material to work quickly. It also helps to make veneer more solid.

Make a model for the teeth

By using several soft medical materials, used to print the shape of the teeth and molars on them, and then send them to the relevant laboratory with the degree of color that you choose to prepare the Dental Veneers.

Future checkup

You will need to visit the dentist after a few weeks to check your smile and gums and confirm their reaction to the new Veneers.

I was new to GYA clinic, and didn’t know what to expect. I was used to my long term dentist ❤️in Abu Dhabi, and since moving to Dubai, didn’t have much trust in experimenting with dentists, being hesitant who to trust..I was looking for a dentist that is in Marina area and close to my home, and reviews for GYA looked very favourable, so I booked an appointment for deep cleaning. I didn’t have to wait long, so that was great sign. I was welcomed by a very polite receptionist Mariam, and met Dr Gabriella. Before tending to examine my teeth and starting the deep clean. I loved that we sat down, and she paid attention to my story, answering my questions, and I had many and with that, gave me reassurance 😁needed, so I was able to relax whilst she worked diligently on making my teeth sparkle again. And they did! 😁Whilst working, nurse on standby was very helpful and the whole experience was smooth and relaxing, listening to nice instrumental music in the background. When finished, we chatted more afterwards, and I liked that she was friendly and simply pleasant. I was able to get information I needed on right toothpaste to use for my teeth, and she also advised on proper dental hygiene. Thank you Dr Gabriella, thank you Mariam. I look forward to seeing you both again in six months time. In the interim, I wish you continued success and I am happy to recommend your services. Very best, Marina 🌻

When I entered the clinic I was embraced by so much warmth and care. Dr. Gabriela and her team are highly trained and considering the best intervention for best results. Every treatment plan is explained in detail. The clinic is holistic and interdisciplinary to achieve the brightest smile. I got a treatment plan for my gum recession and very well adjusted veneers for my teeth. I got very positive feedback by my family and friends. I smile with confidence again.

Thank you to Dr Eduard for attention to details and professionalism. Four doctors in three countries during two years was trying to fix the issue with extra teeth sensitivity. Nobody found that the main reason is small crack except Dr Eduard. The clinic itself is small and nice with always good communication. This is not a money making machine. This is real clinic that really helped me not in easy case.

Frequently Asked Questions About Dental Veneers In Dubai

What Are Lumineers Teeth?

Lumineers Teeth is one of the most popular types of dental veneers and is a brand in its own right.

Lumineers Teeth are characterized by being very transparent and very thin (their thickness reaches about 0.2 mm).

Lumineers do not require any drilling or carving of the teeth, unlike traditional dental veneers, which are thicker and may require sculpting of the original tooth structure.

In addition, Lumineers Teeth’s durability allows its wear and stain resistance to last more than 20 years.

Which Type Should I Choose, Composite Veneers Or Porcelain Dental Veneers?

It is essential to have expert advice, such as that offered by the GYA Dental Center. Depending on how visible the damage to the tooth is, the dentist recommends different solutions. The more serious the tooth damage, The more important it is to provide customized protection for the tooth from the laboratory; excellent results achieved with porcelain “no-prep” Dental Veneers in particular.

If the tooth damage is minor, Composite Veneers can be a perfect option.

Why and When I Need Dental Veneers?

Ideal areas of application for Dental Veneers can be when you want to achieve particular aesthetic, durable, and natural tooth restorations with minimally invasive and minimal substance removal:

  • Optical correction of misalignment without complex
  • Orthodontics or dentures (closing gaps or gaps, straightening teeth)
  • Aesthetic optimization, repair of teeth (e.g., existing malformations, more wear, “too small” -, too “narrow” – and also “square” – mending teeth.
  • Stable and invisible restoration of tooth defects (tooth fractures) caused by the consequences of accidents or caries.
  • Discolored teeth, unsightly chalk stains, dark, yellowish, or whitish discolorations (e.g., fluorosis, enamel hypoplasia, etc.) that bleaching cannot treat.
  • Repair rough and serrated tooth surfaces.
  • Embellish old crowns or bridges.
  • Improve or beautify the smile line.

What Are The Cons Of Dental Veneers?

  • Porcelain materials are harder than teeth, so there is a risk of cracking and abrasion of the opposite tooth.
  • Regular adjustment of the bite is required.
  • Once your tooth prepared for the Dental Veneer, the process is not reversible.
  • Dental Veneers are not a good option for people with poor gum health.

How Do I know If I Am a Candidate For Dental Veneers?

In all cases, the only way to be sure that you are a suitable candidate for Dental Veneers or Dental Lumineers treatment requires you to take an appointment with the dentist. He or She can evaluate the condition of your mouth, gums, and teeth, and determine if your teeth are covered by a good layer of enamel so that the dentist can remove part of it and install the Dental Veneers. Or, if you do not have enough tooth enamel, you will have to resort to Dental Lumineers.

As for the primary candidate for the Dental Veneers treatments, you may experience more significant dental deformation, such as:

    • Teeth fractures.
    • Dental cracks.
    • Significant gaps between the teeth.
    • Misaligned teeth.

Do Dental Veneers Last For a Long Time?

When used and processed correctly, scientific studies have shown that 98% of the veneers placed were intact after six years. With proper oral hygiene in connection with regular professional tooth cleaning (prophylaxis), you can expect a Dental Veneers last up to 10 years.

What Are the Alternatives to Dental Veneers?

There are some solutions as an alternative to Dental Veneers:

Hollywood or Snap-On Smile can be a good option, which is a type of animated formula that gives a beautiful smile on occasions while using it with a subtle effect.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening is not an integral alternative to veneer, as it is applied to whiten the color of the teeth, making them brighter, but it does not help to hide other dental defects such as wear and spacing between teeth and others. So it is only suitable for removing stains, unifying the teeth color.

There are several techniques for teeth whitening, from the generation of bleaches and chemicals to laser whitening, which is the latest in modern medicine in the field of teeth whitening.

Dental Crowns

It can be as alternatives for its low costs compared to the Dental Veneers and Dental Lumineers. Dental crowns treatment depends on the removal of the tooth or molar from all directions and the installation of a Dental crown over the entire tooth or molar, and not only from the front side. Crowns are often used after root fillings to keep molars from cracking and give a color that matches the primary color of teeth.

What Are the Differences Between "Prep" Or "No-Perp" Dental Veneers?

1- The difference in thickness:

The essential difference between the- “Prep” -Dental Veneers and the -“No-Perp”- Dental Lumineers lies in the thickness of the Dental Veneers, which is much thicker of the Dental Lumineers, and this small difference has its big consequences. The dentist has to remove a significant layer of teeth enamel to install the Dental Veneer, and the thickness of the Dental Veneers is usually about 2 mm and never less than 0.5 mm, while it is less than 0.5 mm in the case of Dental Lumineers.

Patients prefer Dental Lumineers results than Dental Veneers because it does not require the removal of the enamel layer covering the tooth.

2- The difference in tooth sensitivity:

Reduces tooth sensitivity: Removing the enamel layer (or tooth enamel exposes you more to have tooth sensitivity), but this won’t happen in the case of Dental Lumineers.

3- The difference in tooth consistency:

Consistency of the results: This is also due to no removal of the enamel layer. This layer helps bond the Dental Lumineers more strongly and gives results that last longer, to appear in the best possible way.

How Many Dental Veneers My Treatment Needs?

The dentist will help you to decide how many Dental Veneers your smile needs, either one tooth or more. A complete set can be applied to all visible front teeth if necessary and are made with different sizes and designed to match your existing tooth color so that it looks completely natural.

Do Insurance Company Cover Dental Veneers?

Since veneers are dental aesthetic or dental cosmetic treatments, it is not under health insurance coverage. Still, nowadays, some health insurance starts to apply this treatment to their policy, so you need to double-check with them.

How To Choose the Color Of My Dental Veneers?

Mostly, you are aiming to have whiter teeth, but if the Dental Veneers are not covering all your teeth, you may need to clean your teeth and whiten surrounding teeth before starting treatment. If the Dental Veneers match the color of the whitened teeth, you should maintain a regular schedule of whitening teeth. Otherwise, natural teeth will start to appear yellow in comparison to the color of the installed lenses.

Will I Feel Pain During the Dental Veneers Treatment?

Dental Veneers treatment is entirely painless. However, if an accident severely damages a tooth, we use a local anesthetic for tooth preparation for a veneer to guarantee a painless procedure.

How Will I know If My Dental Veneers Treatment Needs Gum Contouring?

When installing Dental Veneers, in some cases, the dentist cuts a small part of the gums to increase the clinical length of the tooth; this also done with local anesthesia without pain.

Which One Should I Choose, Porcelain Or Lumineers Dental Veneers?

The dentist will simply help you to decide which is best for your condition by discussing your needs and your dental situation and by knowing the criteria for choosing between them.

The right choice for your condition is what will make you look great. If you have small teeth and you want to make their size larger, for example, the Dental Lumineers will not solve the problem, In this case, it is easier (and perhaps better) to get to the Dental Veneers, which occupies large areas.

To decide which one to choose, you must know the difference between the ideal candidate for the Dental Lumineers treatment and the Dental Veneers treatment.
